Correcting Bad Transplants
For years, Jeff didn't leave the house without a hairpiece. Like many dissatisfied hair transplant patients, he had hair transplants too young, before a mature balding pattern could be predicted. The result was an extremely unnatural hairline, a "cornrow" effect and balding behind the transplanted area. As a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Fisher was able to perform corrective plastic surgery to remove the unsightly plugs and surrounding tissue and create a new hairline, using 2,600 follicular grafts made up of between one and four hairs each - implanted in two sessions.
Many hair transplantation clinics are reluctant to perform corrective hair transplants either because it is difficult and time-consuming or because they lack qualified surgeons to perform necessary corrective procedures.
